In The Kogi Election, Ododo Pledges To Finish The Water And Rail Line Projects
Ahmed Ododo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Kogi State, has outlined his commitment to several significant projects in the state. Ododo pledged to complete the ongoing expansion of the Okene water project, initially initiated by the current state governor, Yahaya Bello. Additionally, if elected in the upcoming November 11 governorship election, he vowed to extend piped water access to all parts of Kogi Central Senatorial District.
Furthermore, the APC gubernatorial candidate expressed his intention to facilitate the connection of the Itakpe-Warri rail line to Lokoja, the state capital, aligning with the Federal Government’s intermodal transportation system. He assured the public that all ongoing internal road projects in the district would be finalized to alleviate traffic congestion on major roads.
During a massive rally in his hometown of Okene, Ododo made these commitments, emphasizing his dedication to expanding the water project within his first 100 days as governor. He also expressed gratitude to the people of the district for their support of Governor Bello’s work over the past seven and a half years. Ododo promised to build on Bello’s accomplishments in key areas of the state’s economy.
Addressing the crowd, Ododo assured the gathered supporters that he would maintain the character and efforts of the current administration, highlighting the improvements in security, education, human capital development, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and the reduction of violent crimes and communal conflicts in Kogi Central.
In addition to these commitments, Ododo pledged to enhance opportunities for women and youth empowerment through his agenda in Small and Medium Enterprises, as well as in agriculture, sports, innovation, and the creative industry. These areas represent essential components of his campaign promises.
Impressed by the substantial turnout of APC supporters at the rally, the party’s flag bearer promised to reciprocate the trust placed in him with hard work and purposeful leadership. He aimed to continue transforming the state into a united, peaceful, and prosperous entity once he assumed the role of the state governor.
