Abba Kabir Yusuf Establishes A Compliance Committee For The Distribution Of Relief Assistance

In his efforts to ensure accountability and transparency in the distribution of palliatives and judicious utilization of the items, Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has set up compliance committees at state, local governments and ward levels.
It is reports that the committee was inaugurated at Africa House, Government House, Kano.
Inaugurating the committee, the Governor said it became necessary to ensure that only the targeted beneficiaries receive the palliative.
Governor Yusuf also warned that all political office holders and senior civil servants shall not be part of the palliative beneficiaries as the gesture is meant for the less privileged, orphans and vulnerable groups, people living with disabilities, hospitals and other rehabilitation centers.

Governor Yusuf has already flagged-off the distribution of palliatives on Monday, hence the need for the compliance committees to swing into action.
