Heightened Security Measures in Place as Court of Appeal Pronounces Judgment on Kano and Bauchi Governorship Disputes
Tight security as security operatives block road at Court of Appeal Complex, FCT
The Court of Appeal complex in the Federal Capital Territory is currently under tight security as it prepares to deliver judgments on governorship appeals for Kano and Bauchi states.
To manage the situation, several roads leading to the court have been blocked off by the Nigeria Police Force. Meanwhile, a substantial number of supporters have gathered, attempting to gain entry to the premises. In response to the swelling crowd, law enforcement fired teargas canisters to disperse the supporters.
As of the latest update, police officers are actively engaged in preventing any potential disruption of order within the court premises. The judgments for both appeals were scheduled for 10 am.
