Red Cross Partners Kano, Others To Curtail Spread Of Diphtheria
The Nigerian Red Cross Society says it is currently working with the Ministry of Health and other relevant stakeholders to reduce the spread of Diphtheria in Kano.
The branch Executive Secretary, Red Cross Society, Alhaji Musa D. Abdullahi said this in Kano on Monday.
He said Diphtheria is deadly, especially to children, thus the need for all stakeholders to fight it’s spread.
According to Abdullahi, Red Cross in partnership with the ministry will hold a three months long sensitisation on the disease.
This he hopes would equip the populace with the necessary information to combat the spread of the disease.
The official then reminded people to put their health first and be conscious of their health.
He expressed hope that the disease would not take long to be completely dealt with.
