May 29: You Failed With Distinction, Nigerians Reacts

As May 29 approaches with another government getting set to take over power democratically, Nigerians have taken to their social media handle to react and discredit the acclaimed performance of the President Muhammadu Buhari government.
In a recently published report detailing the achievement of President Buhari in eight years, the report has been faced with backlash from Nigerians stating that Buhari has failed with distinction.
A Twitter handle @shehu_mahdi, who led the conversation on his Twitter handle described the Buhari administration as the most corrupt and nepotic government Nigeria has ever produced.
“In your 8 years of disaster, you elevated nepotism to the highest level, you were visibly selective in fighting corruption, and you destroyed the economy, the polity, and cohesion. You are living us more disunited than you met us. You mortgaged our future,”
“Through crazy and wicked borrowings. 64,000 were killed under your watch. You destroyed businesses of all categories. You sent 134 million into avoidable poverty. Corruption became a celebrated institution under you. Worst of all, you are living in denial. YOU ARE A FAILURE,” Mahdi said.
Another Nigerian on his Twitter handle @Farouk Saad, PhD, described Buhari as a heartless leader and that he must not go unpunished.
“We have been reversed as a system by 50 years back, it will take any leader to tough time to fix Nigerian from where Buhari has taken it, Buhari is a heartless man and he will surely reap the seed of his wickedness.”
Reacting to the debt record of Nigeria with so little achievement to show, Nigerians believe it will take many years before the country can be liberated from its debt record.
