Katsina: Police Boss Gives Families Of Deceased Officers ₦20.6 Million Cheque
Katsina State Acting Commissioner of Police, Shettima Mohammed on Thursday presented N20.6 million cheques to families of policemen who died in active service.
This is contained in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Gambo Isa.
He said the money comes from the Police Family Welfare Insurance Scheme instituted by the Inspector General of Police to provide succor to families of deceased personnel.
The Commissioner said 21 families were presented with the cheques.
The acting CP urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money for their betterment.
Fatimah Aliyu, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked the I-G for the gesture and promised to use the money to cater for their families.
