JUST IN: Emir Of Dutse, Is Dead

The Emir of Dutse , Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi is dead. The Emir died on Tuesday at the hospital in Abuja,
In a condolence message gathered by Herald Reporters issued by Auwal Sankara, Jigawa state Commissioner for Special Duties, described the late Emir as a strong pillar, kind and humane personality.
The statement lauded the contribution of the late Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi to the development of the state.
‘’May the soul of the late Emir rest in peace and may the memories of his life bring comfort and solace to those he leaves behind,’’ the statement said.
The late Emir of Dutse,  Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi, was appointed pioneer Chancellor of the Sokoto State University, Sokoto, by a former Governor of the state, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
Born in 1945 at Yargaba village in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State, the late Sanusi attended Dutse Elementary School from 1952 to 1956.
After his post-primary education, he obtained a National Certificate in Education (NCE) from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, and later a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in International Business from Ohio University, United States of America.
He further obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Project Planning and Analysis from Bradford University, United Kingdom.
The emir was awarded an honorary doctorate in Management by the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State.
He acquired substantial experience in agricultural consultancy and industrial and commercial management after working for several years.
