INEC Confirm Liking Twitter Post Against Obi, Promise Disciplinary Action
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reacted to the backlash by Nigerians for linking a Twitter post made by Premium Times a Nigeria news platform handle on Wednesday.
In the Tweet, the headline quoted that Seun Kuti the son of the Nigeria veteran music star Fela Kuti, referred to Peter Obi the Presidential flag bearer of the Labor party as an opportunist who can’t deliver Nigeria.
The tweet steered several reactions from Nigerians and caught the attention of the commission promising to investigate the source of the like and bring to account those involved.
In a Twitter post made by the commission, It assured Nigerians of its neutrality and commitment to conduct a general election that is free and fair to all, reiterating that the allegiance of the commission is to the people of Nigeria.
