Fake News Alert: Tinubu Has Not Appointed Gbajabiamila Chief Of Staff
President Bola Tinubu has not appointed Nigeria’s Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, as his Chief of Staff.
HeraldReporters reports that the source, Olanrewaju-Smart Wasiu, Chief of Staff to speaker Gbajabiamila, who has been widely quoted, has denied ever releasing such.
Wasiu said via his Facebook page, “Fake news is a monster that must be curbed. Kindly ignore any fake news quoting this account for posting about any political appointment. Nothing of such was ever posted here”.
However, Nigeria’s current speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has been in the news lately as a preferred choice of Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu. This has further been fuelled by his delay in picking up his certificate of return from INEC.
Gbajabiamila, who secured a 6th term as the member representing Surulere Federal Constituency in Lagos State, has been seen around the President since after the election.
However, another name being mentioned in some quarters is James Faleke.
