Badaru Expresses Worries Over Hardship of New Naira Notes in Jigawa
The Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Muhammad Badaru has expressed his concern on the continued hardship faced by the people as a result of scarcity of the new Naira notes in the State.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant On Media and Pubic Relations Habibu Nuhu Kila
Gov Badaru noted that he is worried over the long queues in all banks throughout, which is almost crippling the economic activities in the state.
He said that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) policy has failed to take cognisance of the local communities in its implementation.
However, he therefore called on the Central Bank to make supply of enough new notes to the commercial banks in Jigawa.
Badaru says he is mindful of the hardship faced by the people and appealed to them to be more patient as the state government will do everything possible to alleviate the present predicament.
